What is the Pearl Laser Procedure?
The pearl laser procedure combines the impact of resurfacing lasers with the gentleness and safety of non-invasive procedures to treat aging and sun damaged skin. The Pearl laser treatment will reduce wrinkles, smooth uneven texture and minimize solar damage with fewer treatments and less overall recovery than other technologies. Clients have described their skin as “looking 10 years younger”, or being “as soft as a baby’s bum” after having the Pearl treatment.

How does the Pearl work?
The Pearl uses a unique wavelength that facilitates the proper balance of tissue removal and thermal damage to the epidermis. During the procedure, the top layer of skin is treated with pulses of light in a pre-selected pattern. The laser simultaneously sends heat to the deeper layers of the skin to provide long-term benefits. A natural protective dressing forms on the skin to minimize social downtime during the restorative process. On day three or four, this natural dressing will peel or slough off revealing new, healthy, vibrant skin underneath.
Is there social downtime following the Pearl procedure?
There is only “social downtime”; with social downtime you can continue your normal daily activities. However, you may not wish to attend social events because your face will appear pink or red and be peeling for up to one week following treatment. You may look and feel like you have had sunburn and will need to apply ointment for a few days following the treatment.
How many treatments are recommended?
Some patients may require two treatments spaced approximately one month apart to achieve desired result. Other patients may need only one treatment. Please call the office today at 780.464.4506 to schedule your free consultation to determine if the Pearl treatment is right for you.
